How to live life on your own terms
My mission is to empower more people to live life on their own terms. There is such a freeing, satisfying, thrilling, and that 'sigh of relief' feeling that comes with finally living life on your own terms. But what do you do if you don’t even know what you’re passionate about anymore?
How traveling allows me to drop old mindsets
After recently returning from a two-week trip to Honduras, I was reminded again how refreshing traveling is for my mind, body, and soul. Especially after quarantining for most of 2020, traveling felt like spring cleaning for my mind. Now I feel lighter and ready to rebuild my new stories and mindsets around work and success.
What if I never hired my first coach?
Someone asked me this recently and it honestly was something I hadn't considered before. I thought about who I was up to that point, what I was hoping for, and all the other things I had tried before. The thing that I couldn't put my finger on - I wanted fulfillment.
How to prep for your post-pandemic career shifts
Are you starting to crawl out of your career or business hibernation from the last year? Don't get me wrong, this hibernation phase is well needed. Especially this last year as we dealt with so much trauma. But now, I keep hearing from people ready to expand again.
You don’t have to believe every thing you think
I know this is a total mind f*ck, but stick with me here. Most of what we probably think in a day is some sort of limiting belief, or saboteur, trying to keep us safe. Your saboteurs will tell you all the ways it could go wrong, all the ways to over-prepare for it, and all the things you should be focused on instead of yourself.
How vulnerability allows me to access my authenticity
As a recovering perfectionist, I always thought of vulnerability as weakness for as long as I can remember. It was something for me to avoid at all costs and something I never wanted to be caught doing. I learned that this view of vulnerability was a limiting belief. Without my breakdowns in vulnerability, I wouldn't have this access to my authenticity.
Let’s reclaim the word “Millennial”
I'm finally ready and willing to take back the word "Millennial." Us Millennials get so much shade from both older and younger generations these days, it's like we're torn between various belief structures. All of these external judgments on us millennials had me avoiding the word for a long time. It had me wanting to distance myself from my age, especially while in the workforce.
Why I took the term “work-life balance” out of my vocabulary
I've recently taken the term "work-life balance" out of my vocabulary. I truly believe that we don't all just need more time in our days to find some sort of elusive "balance" - we just need to be more intentional with how we spend our limited energy.
3 reasons your new year goals may be failing
Statistically, by now most people will have given up on their new year goals. This shouldn't be a surprise by now, we’ve all heard the stats. And honestly, can you remember the last time you set a goal at the beginning of the year and actually consistently stuck with it throughout the whole year? There are three major causes I see getting in the way for people and their new year goals.
My four biggest learnings from 2020
Despite it being the most difficult year I can remember, many of us have a lot of learnings that we can take with us the rest of our lives. If you haven't spent time reflecting on your learnings, I hope this will inspire you to take a few minutes yourself to stop and consider what you're taking with you into the new year.
Let’s talk money, honey
One of the first questions most people asked me when I told them I was quitting my job to pursue my coaching business full-time is "wow, do you have enough clients to replace your salary?" The short answer? Hell no! The breakthrough for me is that my "work" doesn't have to be all about money.
How the fear of being laid off led me to quitting my job during a pandemic
It probably started in June. I knew so many people who had lost their jobs or were being furloughed due to COVID. When first talking with them, I immediately became scared. What if I lose my job too? What if there aren't any other new jobs out there for them or me? Then an unexpected feeling hit me: jealousy
#PEACEOUT2020: 4 reasons we need to let go of 2020
If we all can agree on one thing, it's that 2020 has been a shit show. That's why this new year is going to require much more than the shallow "new year, new me" mentalities and simple yet unattainable resolutions.
3 signs you’re having a quarter-life crisis
We've all heard of a midlife crisis. Now, the term quarter-life crisis is becoming more popular these last few years, I like to think by millennials. Typically it's seen as someone in their mid twenties to early thirties beginning to question the direction of their life. My quarter-life crisis was a way to avoid a midlife crisis later.
